My Pro-Choice Perspective

What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
To be a pro-choice therapist is to support my clients in whatever decision they make regarding their reproductive care, helping them to connect to their own insight, wisdom, and desires, locating affirming and compassionate resources to answer any questions that they have, and providing a safe space to process whatever feelings arise.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Everyone should have the right to make medical and health decisions for themselves, as well as make their own choice about how, when, or if they have a child. This is a personal decision and only the person experiencing the weight of it can truly understand the unique context, the factors at play, and the impact that a pregnancy or delivery might have.
