My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
A Pro-Choice therapist empathizes and understands that there is no absolute "one right choice" in terms of pregnancy--the "right choice" is only decided by the individual who finds themself pregnant. I support clients discerning whether to remain pregnant or not (without any judgement to the reason), with clients that have received a poor prenatal diagnosis, and those that are processing the grief after terminating a wanted pregnancy.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
A person's body is their own sanctury, thus what occurs within it and to it should be at the SOLE discretion of the person whose body it belongs to.
