My Pro-Choice Perspective

What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
Being pro-choice isn't just about creating an empathetic, non judgemental space; it means pushing back on the system that continues to oppress my community. Advocating and supporting my clients goes beyond the work that happens in the sessions; it means fighting for their right to choose outside of the therapy room whether it be getting additional education, staying up to date on current policy, protesting, or writing letters.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
The topics of reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy live at the intersection of sex and relationship therapy. I can't talk about sex, pleasure, consent, and power without taking about abortion access.
