My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
Myself being a pro-choice therapist means not only supporting but also empowering each one of my clients and others who I interact with throughout my life in ways that honor their inherent right to choose what they do with their bodies, especially from a reproductive stance and for each person to choose if and when they are to have a child.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
I firmly believe the right to reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy is inherently a part of each of us and should never be challenged but uplifted and held to the highest standard of respect. As living beings, we must each choose what this means for ourselves and ourselves only. More specifically, I feel all should have the right to reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy because this helps ensure each person will get to choose to live a life that is conducive to them having control over when and if they are to have children, followed by being able to live in an environment that is conducive to their ability and their families ability not only to exist but to thrive.
