My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
Being a pro-choice therapist means holding space for the complicated thoughts and feelings around what is right for the individual. Regardless of the decision a client makes, I believe my job is to help offer support to clients while they determine what is best for them. And to offer resources that best support my clients.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Reproductive freedom and body autonomy are the bedrock of democracy. Being able to access the care we want or need, individually and as a community is essential to well-being. Having access to support can be of the utmost importance when we're making life-changing decisions and I want to provide that support to those who need it.
