My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
In being a ProChoice Therapist I affirm and support a persons right to make their own bodily and reproductive health choices. The therapy I offer provides a safe nonjudgmental space to talk about what youre experiencing in connection with your reproductive health and bodily autonomy as well as support in processing your thoughts and feelings. In our work together Im dedicated to protecting confidentiality and your right to privacy. Mental health care that respects and empowers reproductive freedom, justice and bodily autonomy optimizes quality of life and well-being.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy are fundamental human rights and integral for rights to equality, privacy, and self-determination. The freedom and power to control ones own body, decisions, and life choices is essential for reproductive health and overall physical, mental, and social well-being. As a mental health provider and reproductive health advocate Im strongly committed to providing mental health care that respects and empowers reproductive freedom, justice and bodily autonomy for all people.
