My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
To be a pro choice therapist means that I support an individual's rights to make informed choices about their reproductive health, including the choice to seek or obtain an abortion. I seek to provide a safe and non judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings around reproductive health and decision making. It is important to me that my clients know as a therapist I don't necessarily support or encourage individuals to do anything other than what they genuinely want for themselves, and respect and support my clients rights to make their own decisions.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Reproductive health care and autonomy is important to me because I believe that it is essential healthcare, allowing individuals to exercise their fundamental rights to control their own lives, health and bodies.
