My Pro-Choice Perspective
What being a Pro-Choice Therapist means to me:
Being a pro-choice therapist means that we are opening the door to a safe haven for the many people who feel so alone and judged as they go through this process. My motto is that therapy should be beneficial to all clients, and they should feel safe as they explore vulnerable moments like their abortion experience with a licensed professional without fear of being judged.
Why I think bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom are important:
Reproductive freedom and body autonomy are important and aligned with my principles that people are the authors of their own stories. We are much more capable than we give ourselves credit for, and it is through our resiliency and innate strength that we can wield the power of choice to enact change within our lives. The ability to advocate for the life that we want to live is the highest form of freedom.
